Steele's Gold: Cowboy Gear

It's the 3rd act of the show, Laura and Remington have hunted for clues to buried treasure and now they are headed out of the city and into the wilds to find it. 

Hi! This is Laura Holt's Closet and today we study another outfit in "Steele's Gold" (Season 1, Episode 20 of Remington Steele).

The Outfit 

After Laura and Remington garner clues at a bar, the action-packed third act begins. The characters go into the desert hoping to find gold. It's like something out of the comedy It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963). What does Laura wear?

For the next twenty minutes or so Laura is in touristy cowboy gear. Like the trench coat earlier in the episode, this ensemble is more a costume for the character than anything else. Still, it’s a nod to the history of fashion in the region as well as a tribute to cowboys in the movies.

Well, here we are at the end of "Steele's Gold."  In this episode, we've seen Laura wear business suits, a trench coat and cowboy gear.  (She also wears a bunny rabbit costume, which I didn't bother mentioning.)

"Steele's Gold" gives our heroine perhaps the most disparate variety of wardrobe styles for Laura in one episode of Remington Steele.
